Capcom M1REHRCAP93122 Editorial Review
The **Resident Evil Origins Collection** for Xbox One has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from players, many of whom appreciate the nostalgia it provides while showcasing the two pivotal titles: Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0. Players note that these HD remasters breathe new life into these classic games, delivering vibrant graphics and preserving the intense atmosphere that made the originals iconic in the survival horror genre. The gameplay, characterized by its challenging mechanics—including limited saves via ink ribbons and Constrained ammo—has struck a chord with long-time fans. Despite the frustration these limitations may cause, many reviewers commend the immersive experience that comes with managing resources and the suspenseful nature of encountering zombies and other monstrous foes. However, newcomers to the franchise may find certain aspects of the games slightly dated, such as the fixed camera angles and the slow opening door animations, which can disrupt the pacing. Players have voiced that while the graphics have improved, the core gameplay mechanics might feel cumbersome compared to modern standards. Nevertheless, the collection is highly recommended for both seasoned veterans and newcomers alike, especially given its reasonable price point. In conclusion, the Resident Evil Origins Collection successfully captures the essence of the original titles while making them accessible on modern Consoles, enticing a new generation to experience survival horror at its best. **
