It is especially compatible with humbucker pickups, although single-coil users may need to spend some time adjusting the settings to achieve a satisfactory neck pickup tone. One of the drawbacks of this amp is the placement of the effects control knob. It can be inconvenient to have to roll through the effects to find the desired one, especially if the amp is placed on the floor upright and the controls are not easily visible. However, this issue can be mitigated by using a mini amp with more user-friendly effects control or connecting pedals to the setup. Another downside is the quality of the included speaker, which is a cheap 10" Marshall 4 ohm.
