    répondre: The lid it's not hermetic, but once it heats of it creates by itself a 'water seal' and it cooks really good. I bought it 4 years ago and use it once a week with no issues so far, everything is well cooked and really tasty.
  • question: Can you put the removable pot on the hob to saute things before slow cooking them?

    répondre: No, the ceramic insert is not suitable for the hob. Still is a very fine slow cooker.
  • question: Can I cook food for 24-32 hours?

    répondre: You could but most things get a bit 'off' tasting or become mush after that long. A few things like sauces and some beans can handle up to 24 hours but usually I try to stop at about 14 or turn it off for a few hours and turn back on.
  • question: Does it leak water or spit when making a broth (simmer setting) please?

    répondre: If you put too much liquid in the slow cooker, it may spit. It is recommended to put only half the liquid when making a casserole. Otherwise, it is generally good and if the liquid level is right, the pressure will release from the lid before resealing again.
  • question: If it doesn't have a timer, how will it know when to stop cooking?

    répondre: You turn it off. It also has a keep warm setting so once it's cooked you can put it on that if you're not quite ready to eat.
  • question: Is the plug suitable for Spain?

    répondre: It's a UK 3-pin plug, but it's not moulded so you could probably change it over.
  • question: Does it have automatic control?

    répondre: Not sure what you mean exactly, it just has slow, mid, and high settings. It does not have an automatic timer feature that will turn off the slow cooker after a specific period of time.
  • question: I bought this crockpot but immediately dropped the lid and it smashed. Where in the UK can I buy a replacement lid?

    répondre: Never had to buy one, but you can try contacting the Crock Pot company for a replacement lid.
