Dante Alighieri Books Editorial Review
This review features a collection of different opinions on the Paradiso Bantam Classics Mass Market Paperback. Most customers enjoyed the beautiful translation and Italian/Latin text, as well as the interstellar journey across planets and stars. However, there were some complaints about the condition of the book upon arrival, the abrupt ending, and the updated version being received instead of the version shown online. The review highlights that Dante's Paradiso is a complex work of literature that requires knowledge not only of the Bible but also of astronomy, Greek mythology, and history. Furthermore, it applauds Dante for providing readers with more in-depth information about Biblical characters and tackling questions regarding predestination and what happens to virtuous people who died before knowing Jesus. In conclusion, despite some issues with the product, the book itself is a fascinating read and engaging for those with an interest in literature, religion, and philosophy.
