Micro-Mark Polishing & Buffing Editorial Review
Micro-Mark Softback Polishing Sticks are a great addition to any jewelry maker or model crafter's toolbox. These sticks are designed to provide an ultra-precision finish on plastic models, various metals, and other soft materials. They can also be used on air-dried clay pots, however, they may require filling due to the porous nature of clay. The sticks come in a pack of four, with two sticks of 400-grit and two sticks of 1000-grit. The sticks are about 6 inches in length and have a gritty outside with a hard foamy center, making them easy to use and store. Additionally, they have been proven to work well with veneer type wood, silver, copper and stone. Although some users have found the lack of 600 or 800-grit sticks disappointing, the overwhelming majority found the product to be high quality and effective. These polishing sticks are not recommended for sharpening knives due to their use in fine finishing of soft materials.
