The punch heads can be adjusted for paper that is 8.5" x 5.5" and the distance between the edge of the paper and the nearest edge of a punched hole is 5/16 inch. The punch also comes with a scrap holder for the holes you punch. While the paper guide seems to be fixed, there is a slide that allows you to put in legal size paper. However, it would be punched as 11" paper. Overall, the punch has received positive reviews from customers who are pleased with its performance and durability.
